600 FESTIVAL - Food Lion Speed Street
Haven't been in a few years. It is free and there are a lot of giveaways; NASCAR stuff, small toys. Usually use them for the kids of friends who live out of state or for my shoeboxes at Christmas time.
Over the weekend, later at night, there are concerts...
anyone going?

I think I am in the minority but I felt that Speed Street was awful last year at least at night. The crowd is much more controlled during the day. It was chaotic at night with lots of drunk loud race fans mixing with the usual downtown crowd. I enjoy going downtown on weekends but not on Speed Street weekends!
