I've been trying to find free (or cheap) motorcycle parking in Charlotte. Many uptown parking garages charge either full rate or some reduced rate, but I haven't found anything less then $5 daily. Does anyone have suggestions?.
Parking for $5 a day for any vehicle is pretty good, especially indoors (assuming because of the bike). Never had to pay for parking before I started working in Uptown...little aggravating, but it is what it is.
The problem is that there are not many (if any at all) motorcycle parking spots in the garages and lots. Additionally, the excuse my work's garage gives motorcycle riders is that the gate is not suited for them...meaning their bike may not give enough of a signal to keep the gate open while they drive through.
I found out that BB&T building ( i think its 200 S college rd) has $50 a month. I parked in the standard parking lot where I normally park my car for $90 a month but I know they'd told me that they dont encourage mc parking coz of accidents that had happened in the lot. I hope they dont tell me anything..
I see a lot of people just locking their bikes on 5th St & Rail Tracks outside a garage.. I would not like to do that..
Let me know if you find any place to park or if anyone knows anything better..
