Hello Charlotte. Our new ball park in Mpls will have a "wind veil" installed on the parking structure across the street. Kinetic art they tell us. Saw some youtube videos of a parking structure in Charlotte and a children's museum in Pittsburgh. Seems kind of cool, a bit different. It hasn't caused any of you to go crazy or experience feelings of contentment has it? Wouldn't want any of that!

OK, I just had to Google this to see what/where it is. Can't say I recall ever having seen it:

Beyond Parking: April 2009

Has anyone seen this? It appears to be near a train in the video...

Correct, it's Uptown. I think it's neat, especially when it catches the sun. It's much nicer than looking at the ugly side of a parking deck.

It's also a waste of good money imho. That "ugly side of a parking deck" serves a worthwhile purpose - enclosing and holding up that side of a necessary structure. Can't say the same for the "ooooh shiny...pretty!" thingy we're talking about. Maybe I'm just grouchy this morning hehe.

I used to see one right on the light rail line (7th street station, maybe?). The new arena blocks my view now though.

I always thought it was pretty neat. Way nicer than a bunch of concrete bones and automobiles.
