I left it too late as usual and just called my vets boarding and of course they cannot take my large lab for the July 4th weekend! So now that he can't stay there I am looking for recommendations for another place because I sure as heck am not sending him to Posh Pets again. Any suggestions for a large boisterous dog. TIA

I take mine to Palmetto Kennels in Lancaster, SC. It is a drive, but the prices are wonderful ($10/night) and they are very good with dogs.

We've used Tuscarora Country Club for Dogs and were very happy:

Good luck!

Not really. Although we look after our neighbours dogs all the time we are going to be out of town for 4 days and he is big and bouncy and a lab puppy so when he gets bored he chews anything he can get his paws on. I can't put that on anyone I know LOL

We are in the Matthews area of town btw

I just sent you a PM.

Here's my sleeping labby, he's just about 1 1/2, still puppy. One day I'll get that darn chair reupholstered.

First of all, your do is precious!!

Plantation Animal Clinic is great.

We don't live in Mathews, but make the twenty five minute drive there for our dog for vet/boarding services. The vets and staff are wonderful!

That being said, I'm afraid you might run into the same problem with it being a holiday, but it's worth a shot:

WOW--this place looks amazing! Thank you for posting-I'm going to keep this in mind. One can never have too many good resources on hand, right?
