I'm not talking about street racing before anyone jumps on me!

I was just wondering if there was any place in Charlotte that holds a regular cruise night for hot rods, or just some place where they tend to gather?

My wife and I will be in town on the 2nd weekend in August if that helps any. We will actually arrive on Thursday the 6th.

Call River View Inn on Moores Chapel Loop Rd. They used to have one night a week for that.

On the first and third Fridays there are classic cars at South 21 on Independence.

More info here: Jason's Classic Car Blog: Cruise-In at South 21 (http://hagertyjason.blogspot.com/2009/06/cruise-in-at-south-21.html - broken link)

You might also check with Street Side Classics to see if there are any others.

I've heard that there are cruise-ins at Zaxby's in Mooresville. You might want to call and check though.

Haven't been yet but was driving down Independence and saw the show, looked like a pretty good turnout too. Will have to catch the next one now that I have the info.

I think there is a link off the sites already published, but this compiles all the Cruisins on a monthly schedule.

Thanks everyone! The South 21 cruise will work perfectly! We were planning to go there anyway, and we will be there on the 7th of August.

Hopefully the weather will be good so they will have a big turnout.

I was actually hoping to go the original South 21,but maybe we can do both!

The original South 21 is only about ten miles west of the one with the cars so you should be able to do both.
