Where is it? One of my co-workers was talking about how she went up there last weekend...said it was about 1.5-2 hrs away. She said they went tubing and hiking and stayed in some sort of lodge or hotel that had cabins shaped like tee-pees? Does anyone know where this is? I googled Lake Lenoir and came up with nothing of interest. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

If you are referring to Lake Lanier, then that is located in GA north of Atlanta. I visited while attending a company picnic. I think it is a really nice lake and nice place to visit.
I'll have to ask for more details on Monday. She said that friends met them there from Raleigh. I just assumed it was in NC. She said they also went on a hike that led you to a waterfall. I know, these aren't the most descriptive details. She said it was about 2 hours from Lake Wiley but she didn't say in which direction The way she responded to my questions about the place, I thought it was a well known lake we just hadn't heard of before. Thanks anyway for your help guys
I'm going to guess it was Lake Lure. That's about 2 hours from Charlotte, and sounds a lot like "Lenoir." I know you can go tubing there, and there's lots of good hiking there as well because you're close to Chimney Rock... (But I've never heard of teepee-cabins. That's a new one!)
If you've ever seen the movie "Dirty Dancing", it might look familiar, the movie was filmed there.
