The EpiCentre has a theatre that I believe is described as "upscale". If you do a search here, you should find a thread on the matter.

i re-read the book just a week before i went for the movie and was highly disappointed. the climax in the movie was a big let down

This does happen with most books to movies - those of us who haven't read that particular book enjoyed the movie a lot more than you did, sorry!

After the second HP movie, they departed from the books...the result was a bit more fast-paced, but disappointing to those who wanted absolute fidelity.

For those who go to the movies and never read the books, you are missing a lot of storyline, and I wonder if people don't get confused by what's going on. Like watching A Clockwork Orange without understanding Russian. It's still good and fun, but there are some great lines you're missing.

Anyway, HP 6 was a decent movie all around. I think the scenes they changed/added/deleted probably are to set up the 7/8 movies coming out later.
