help!!!!!!! (buy, shops, bus)

glass artist from ohio stuck in charlotte trying to get a tire for my car and enough gas to get home, I have all my lampworking equipment with me, along with some of my art work. I have pendants, pipes and marbles and some rare meteor impact glass incorporated into my art. any support, suggestions, or assistance will greatly be appreciated. thank you!!!!!!!!!!

I'm just curious - how would one find themselves in this situation??

im a glass nomad and was traveling through from florida to asheville to work and i lost my wallet! So i called a friend in charlotte and made the journey here just to hit some unknown object on 277 that destroyed my tire ( in the middle of a rain storm at that) so now im posted up in charlotte trying to EARN my way back home. I guess i angered the gods somewhere along the line. Karma is on my side though so i know it will all work out.

Any flea markets in the area will be open only on the weekends, I believe. Maybe someone else would have info . . .

I would suppose you have to get a permit of some type to do street vending, like in a park.

I would get a bus schedule (and light rail schedule) and find out if you can use the bus while trying to earn money for tire and gas.

Do you have items already made up? Not sure what shops might pay you for some of your items. Hopefully, someone else will make suggestions.

Can you post some pix? We may be able to suggest what shops to contact who may buy some of your artwork.

Good luck. My son got stuck at Big Bear years ago, while traveling (as a photographer) w/ a rock band!!!! It happens.

You ought to post your vehicle info and/or the tire's size. Who knows--Someone may have tires sitting unused in the garage! (Like me )

Post a request on craigslist for the tire and maybe post an offer for barter of some glass piece(s). I always have good results on craigslist.

yup.. ^^ agree with craigslist.. someone who needs a ride maybe able to get u an used tire and ready to share gas if u share the ride to Florida..
