What does Africanized mean? Does it mean that the bees have gone off to Africa for a vacation and have come back all Africanized - like wearing tribal costumes. I have never heard of the word.
No, definitely not the only one running around avoiding bugs in/on/around the car. The other morning when I was getting in the car for work, I noticed this strange Green bug with roach wings and a red dot on it on my car door. But it happened to be right on the crack of where i'd have to open the door. So i climbed through the passenger side! hahahha, with my 4 year old giving me the crazy look
This is embarassing but it's a bug story so I'll share.
A couple of days ago we had a small cricket in the office at home, good luck but a bug none the less. It was on the wall so I ran and quickly returned with the fly swatter. As I go in for the kill, fly swatter in motion towards the target, the cricket jumps off the wall towards me which caused me to retract my arm and swat myself in the head .
Seriously, how could I not laugh at myself? Oh and the little bugger got away.
Luckily you dont have to deal with brown recluses or black widows.
And thoes wasps only target cicadas , laying their eggs on them to ensure a food supply for larvae. They are parasitic wasps and pose no harm.
They are currently breeding and will dissolute in a few weeks.
Good Luck in your endeavours!!
Black Widows are very common here. Brown recluses are rare but they are around.
