Lisa that is a bit vague....I assume your looking for what everyone else is..LOL..It depends on where or if one of u will be working uptown or in a different area, any specific price range? Union County is beautiful Waxhaw/Marvin/Weddington Area Indian Trail is also very nice....U have the area of South Charlotte Mecklenburg County...then you have further North, Moorseville, Lake Norman, Corneilius, Concord....

Schools u can start by researching www.greatschools.net

then u can go to ncreportcard.org
Honestly though the site isnt too updated....

U can also go back to many of threads as its a popular one...Good Luck

What's your price range and where's your job? That's a big consideration on where to look. Just off the top of my head, look at Concord/Harrisburg (NE of Charlotte, Belmont (west), and Ft. Mill (south). Nice areas with good house prices/taxes, safe, good schools, close to things to do, and good freeway access to Charlotte. I'd especially recommend Belmont. It's not experiencing the out-of-control growth other towns are seeing (a good thing). A real hidden gem!

Huntersville is a very good area. I wouldn't go much past exit 23 if you have to commute into Charlotte, though.
