Hello everybody,

We are going to move to Charlotte soon and are wondering where people buy their organic groceries. We saw that there are no Whole Foods markets in Charlotte, is there a chain that is similar? We are especially looking for stores that have good cheese and European style bread.

Thanks,
Chris

We've gone to Earth Fare. There's one in Ballantyne and one in South Park.

Well good luck with the bread and pleeeease let me know if you happen to find it!! It's the one thing missing here in Charlotte. Whole Foods and Trader Joes are on their way......in the mean time, I've been enjoying Earth Faire. The one I go to is at 485 and Johnston Rd. Great selection of cheeses and wine and everything organic. Bakery leaves something to be desired. Their deli is generally quite good....though I sufferred some major food poisoning from one of thier deli sandwiches this week. I won't let it stop me from eating other things from their deli, however. Their bbq tofu (I know, sounds gross) is really good. I know there are other organic grocery stores here...I just haven't tried them out. If you happen to end up in Union Co., Lakeview Farms delivers their organic milk and dairy products to your door! We are loving that. Good luck.

Is it possible to buy Lakeview farms milk anywhere else, if we are not in Union county?

Also is it unhomogenized? I would love to have some of that.

Their website is www.lakeviewfarmshomedelivery.com Aha, read your other post and see that you're in Fort Mill as is Lakeview Farms!

They have a cream line in addition to homogenized.

Default Lakeview Farms

Well, found out that Lakeview Farms does not service our area! Very dissapointed. The gentleman who called to inform me was very kind though. He explained that they deliver as far up as Wesley Chapel. Also, their farm is open for walk-in customers 9 AM to 2 PM once a week (I think that's what he said) and they are located just off of 77. So very disappointed.

I heard that the 2 sites that Whole Foods were looking at fell through here in Clt. They'll still be here, but I think it's going to be later than expected.
