Ok, what is the best way to get to this area? Tickets for Heart playing at amphitheater in Sept. How far of a walk is it from the 7th Street station of the light rail? How about a cab from the Epicentre? Or, how is parking if driving?
Any other input (ie tailgating, concessions) is appreciated. Thanks!
Walking from 7th street will be a long walk. The Music Factory is just off North Graham, on the Seaboard St extension. They should have plenty parking if you opt to drive there. Take Graham Street north of the 277, turn left on Seaboard Street (less than 1/4 mile north of the 277), takes you right to it.

long walk? it's about a mile from 7th street station! walk north to 9th, walk west until you cross the railroad tracks twice and turn left on Seaboard. It can't be much more than a 15-20 minute leisurely walk.
But you're right about the parking... if you're driving to 7th street station you may as well drive to the venue, they have plenty of parking.
I am going to the Heart Concert on 9/6 and have yet to decide on the light rail and walk or drive and park. Has anyone walked, is it a safe area at night or is parking close by
I was there last night for a show at the Fillmore and there is no reason not to drive there. The parking lot is huge and getting in and out is a breeze. Plus, it is free. I went to the amphitheater a couple weeks ago and walked from the 7th street station (I met some friends for dinner in southend and just left my car there and took the light rail) and it wasn't a bad walk but its much easier to just drive there.
A beer at the amphitheater was $10 according to the lady sitting next to me, and last night at the Fillmore I paid $4 for a bottle of water.
I would definately drive...unless you will be drinking...then take Light Rail & a Taxi!
Enjoy.
