I'm opretty sure I saw a "park and wait" lot, where there are lighted signs telling you what flight is available for pick-up. They would just drive to your terminal when the sign goes on for your flight and you should be there.
If you don't mind paying a little, I find it easiest to drive to the top of the short term parking deck right in front of the terminal. Almost nobody parked on the top and its very easy access to the terminal.
I normally track the flight online to arrive at the airport about 15 minutes after the plane lands......works well. I'm never waiting long enough to get chased off by security. I use flytecomm or flightview, links below.
Never had any trouble, I don't use the cell phone lot (as I don't use a cell phone) so I usually just check flights, time it right, and circle. Of the 20+ times I've picked up my husband it's only been crowded a couple, even those times it was at least "stop n go" not just "stop."
Use the online flight tracker AND use the cellphone lot........that's why both were invented.
That's what I do and I am in and out of the airport regularly. I check online flight tracker, try to arrive about 10 minutes after estimated touchdown, pull into the cellphone lot . . . and usually have only a few minutes wait.
If you are picking up someone who doesn't have luggage, I meet them at arrivals and departures instead of at the baggage claim area. Otherwise, go to baggage claim.
