Hello! My husband and I are relocating to North Carolina...particularly the Waxhaw/Weddington area. I stumbled on this Forum and have followed several families asking the same questions on home purchasing, schools, area hazards, etc. We are looking to spend 1.0mil-1.5mil. I have seen a ton of homes in Providence Downs and PD South with reasonable prices and square footage. Skyecroft seems nice, but no basements. Are basements desireable there for resale as well? What things are most desireable in that area...acreage? We moved from Dublin, Ohio in 2005 and have now sold our home in California to move closer to family...my brother in law is in Waxhaw and loves it. We are visiting in mid May and would appreciate the "stay away from" areas as well as the "must have" areas. All opinions welcome! Thank you!
