Does anyone have information on the Bailey high school which it sounds like will be in the Cornelius area? A post from several months ago said that it should open in August 2010 - is that still the plan? Also, what will the boundaries be? Will the town of Davidson stay at North Meck or will they be going to the new school? Thanks so much for any info!
I heard from a realtor that Bailey high school will be ready to open for fall 2010 and will serve davidson, cornelius, and northern huntersville areas.
We just moved to Victoria Bay and My Son as forced to attend North-Mech (which he hates) how can I find out how to eroll him into Bailey High???? Please help???
Thank U
New high schools in Mint Hill and Cornelius will get their official names at Tuesday's school board meeting.
A...panel studying the Cornelius school recommends naming it W.A. Hough High, after a principal who led nearby North Mecklenburg High from 1955 to 1974. Backup suggestions are Unity and Rocky River.

I can't believe they are going to create a new hs that will be 80% white and they will change North Meck from 63/25 (white/african american) to 37/46. How do you pronounce Hough? Rhymes with "ruff" ?
The Huntersville paper that came out today has a front page story that states there there is a lot of outrage over this choice of names for the school. Apparently parents are worried that students will take to calling it 'ho or huff. I had to lookup huff.
