I need to get back to Charlotte real bad. I lived in Charlotte for 19 years but had to move back here because former company in Charlotte went ot of business in Charlotte. Its been 4 years and i have had enough. Commute is crazy, leave at 5:45 am, pay 630.00 a month for ferry to downtown NYC, pay 10k in taxes on a 2400 sq ft home, paid 620k for a house that was older and smaller than house i had in Charlotte i sold for 280k. Tolls go up on parkway and turnpike every quarter, lunch in city, sandwich, soda and bag of chips 10-11.00$ I could go on and on. Plans were to stay here till i turn 62, 56 now, i will never make it another 6 years.

any good headhunters anyone could refer me to. Making a lot of money up here but i'll be dead in 3 years doing this crazy commute and eating dinner at 9 every night.

SOS///////////////

PS By the way i was born and raised in new jersey and lived there for my first 27 years but got out with many company relocations and as the saying goes >you can never go back>

Headhunters kind of went the way of the dinosaur, lol - nowadays you need to look for a "recruiter" - but they don't give the personal service headhunters used to give

You don't say what field you are in - maybe you should post a litte more info. Odds aren't very good for a job in Charlotte right now, but if you keep trying hopefully something would eventually come thru - I don't blame you for wanting to get back at all

What industry/industries are you looking at? Do you want to be in Charlotte or are the outlying areas OK for you?

If anyone hears of anything keep me in mind. Cold weather on the way...................
