They have been in Lowes Home Improvement for over a month. I remember walking in there in August to get something and noticing they were clearing it for the Christmas junk.
Yeah I was with someone and I remember remarking this was the earliest that I have seen a retailer go with Christmas creep. Interestingly enough, their competitor across the street Home Depot has a little better scruples than this and, as of last week, had not put them out yet.
It really wasn't that long ago that you didn't see any thing like this until after Thanksgiving. But then again, in those days, mindless shopping on Black Friday wasn't a national holiday either.
I've seen them in just every store I have been in lately........Garden Ridge, Sam's Club, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, AC Moore, Kohl's, etc.
I think it should be a law that they can't put them out at least until after Halloween. Totally ridiculous. No wonder I'm sick of Christmas before it even gets here.
I credit this for the reason that Christmas catches me by surprise now - I have to spend so long ignoring the stuff that I lose track of when I really need to pay attention to it....
Walmart and target have a lot of Christmas stuff out already. I took my daughter to buy halloween decorations and they were nearly out, but they were moving in the Christmas stuff.

I went to Michaels several weeks ago when the fall stuff was on clearance. They told me they needed to move it out to put out all of the Christmas stuff. They already had two aisles with decorations and things out. In September.
