So I'm moving to Charlotte NC this summer for school and with my family, and I'm into customizing my car. The only info I've found is that it is illegal to have window tinting lower than 35% which is fine considering it's the same here in MA and I don't have my windows tinted. What I am curious is what is illegal and legal when it comes to working on my car, like what is the exhaust dB level, or certain colored lights [inside & out]. So basically I don't want to get down there and be driving home from class one night or day and get pulled over for something I could have learned about before the fact.
Thanks for any help

They have a law against blue light bulbs but I don't believe the enforce it much anymore unless you have some type of strobe affect going on.
The HID's on my car and many OEM's come with a blue hue or tint these days anyway.
There is an exhaust db level max as well but there is no way they enforce that with all of the mustangs and civics riding around here that are super loud.

Let's not confuse a nice throaty exhaust on a Mustang compared to a fart pipe on a Civic.
