Wow, my guess is neither is more "popular" than the other. Since they do not serve the same purpose they attract different patients and are therefore not in competition with each other at all.

If you developed low back pain, which would you go to...a physical therapist or chiropractor? They both effectively treat this condition. Here in the Baltimore area, chiropractors are offering "physical therapy" and treating patients with knee, ankle, and shoulder problems, when in the past, they did not generally treat these conditions. Some areas of the country have a definite preference for one over the other. Just wanted to see what the Charlotte area preference seemed to be.

If I developed any new pains I would FIRST see my regular doctor. THEN, if he said it was something I needed pt for his office would set it up (there could be a medical condition that would not be helped by pt at all). If, however, I had some new muscular ache from sleeping funny and getting a crick in my neck (or something like that) I would call my chiropractor
