Good day I live in Philly and I'm looking to relocate to a smaller city. I'm a single parent with 4 kids,1 High school 3 in Jr high. How is the school districts, Do they have public tranporation is it safe, and how is the job market for nurses.
hmmm, I grew up in south jersey and lived/worked in west chester. the economy is bad here as it is every where. But if your a nurse than you should be in luck. i hear that there is a shortage of nurses all over the country. the school districts get a bad rap but are not as bad as they say. it really depends on the neighborhood. public transportation is good and they just put in a rail line with several more planned. the area is rapidly growing but i like it here. its a good place
Good morning! Hospitals are expanding and my wife is a nurse and she tells me that the demaand for nurse is ever increasing. Last year Levine Children Hospital was opened and my own cousin who overseas a huge hospital in one of my conversation with him tells me that a good competent nurse is in demand. The public transport it isn't it that good but the train connects to most places from downtown. The south side of the Charlotte is reasonably clean and that is the place to live if you are contemplating to move. Good luck.
The bus system in Charlotte is probably the best of any city in N.C. because it is supported by a half cent sales tax. It's a good system but I would not call it convenient to use - most busses run every 20 minutes, and most of the connections take place in uptown. Try to make sure your job and apartment are on the same route, if you're going to rely solely on public transport.
