Does anyone here live in Ft. Mill and commute to uptown charlotte for work? I just got a job in Charlotte and really like the Ft. Mill area, but didn't know if it would just be way too far out there. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I haven't lived in Fort Mill, but have friends who do. It's really not a bad commute into uptown at all and is not considered too far out. Congrats on the new job! You'll love Fort Mill I think

I believe the 82X stops in Baxter Village. About a 30-35 minute ride into town and beats paying for parking. 77 usually slows down around the Westinghouse/485 exit. It can be tough, but usually not terrible.

Fort Mill is an adorable town, I think you'll like it. I don't think the commute is that bad, my husbands is worse! LOL.

I second the suggestion to just take the express bus. These have upholstered seats and feel more "Greyhound-like" than the regular CATS busses (which have metal or plastic seats.)

It depends on what time you leave. Before 7 and can take 20-25 min... After can take 35-45 or worse if there is a wreck. From Exit 85 is about 20 miles.
