Two good options are down in Matthews or over off Park Rd (on Montford) in south Charlotte:

Carolina Lanes Bowling Center - Matthews, NC - AMF Bowling

PappasParkLanes.com » George Pappas Park Lanes, Charlotte North Carolina Bowling Center.

Have fun!

I like Sports Connection on Ardrey Kell. It's non-smoking!

Did anyone get there $.99/game bowling coupons from valu-pak in the mail? Bowling unfortunately has gotten WAY overpriced. For example, on a saturday if you have 2 kids and you each bowl 2 games, you're looking at rougly 35-$40! Thats highway robbery. (please note that these are prices at the AMF in Matthews). There are other cheaper bowling alleys. The coupons really do help.

The bowling alley in huntersville has a bar connected to it but even with that on the weekends its mostly non drinkers and hardly any wait at all unlike the bowling alley at Concord Mills where on the weekends I have waited over TWO HOURS for a lane! Its also not far from Univ. area at all!
