Is there anyone out there that has had pool repairs done by a company that they would highly recommend?

Unfortunately, our pool pump has seen its better days....and now instead of looking out at a serene body of water...the water has taken on a life of its own with an emerald green color...getting darker everyday!!

My DH has made several calls trying to find someone who could take care of this problem, and has found that they don't call back, don't show when they say they would be there, a broad spectrum of prices, and one who had the audacity to want the money up front...not even knowing him or the company....and not having any paperwork/contract to sign. You would think that with so many people out of work....and/or people with this kind of business in this economy....with winter getting nearer...that there would be someone you could trust to come out and want to do the work.

Sooooo....as stated above....anyone know of someone you would highly recommend...because they are reliable, honest, and fair??

We had the same problems a couple of years ago and having gone through some unscrupulous pool people (including the builder of it) we finally went to Leslies and asked for a recommendation. They were very helpful and had a couple of cards of guys who did work for them. I am sorry but I can't remember the name of the person we used but Leslies would be a good starting point. Good luck.

I just knew I could count on this forum to help me out. You were so right smclarke4....Leslies was the place to go. Thank you so much. My DH went right down there, and they gave him a name of a person who came right out.....he was more than accommodating. I also found the Pool forum....it was very educational....plenty of information. Again, Thank You!
