Haven't heard much of her since here eviction for not paying for the huge house she bought in Charlotte? IMHO, She is an example of why we are in the situation we are in.

Actually, she didn't get evicted - she owed homeowner dues on one home and back taxes on another - but supposedly that's all been taken care of.
Not sure we can lay the blame for "the situation we are in" at her feet
She has made lots of money and could afford what she's bought - but has had terrible managment and poor advisors since winning Idol. As a poor young black girl with no education you can only imagine the vultures that came after her once she made millions.
I am a fan of her voice, it is awesome! And I am pulling for her to get her personal act together (she apparently needs to shed a few free-loading relatives). Reviews of her in the Broadway production of "The Color Purple" have been very good - I think the kid has talent

Yes, Summertime was my favorite performance of hers. I do think she has a nice voice.
