Any suggestions or information on groups or events to meet new friends in this area? My husband works alot and our 2 teenage girls are "too busy" for mom. They just seem to like shopping. So...some events for family, some just a ladies night out or something. Our girls are 15 & 17, we're in our young 50's. We have done some volunteering and church stuff, just thinking of somewhere we can sign - up for optional fishing, movies, bowling, etc. , with everyday neighbors.

Have you looked into lakenormanmommies.com? There are moms on there with kids of all ages, and they sometimes do get-togethers. Or you could check out meetup.com.
