I am considering moving two new companies I have formed to Mooresville from the Dallas, Texas area. These companies are involved in the GREEN BUILDING industry and we hope to be international players and a one stop shop for all things involving green building. Other areas I am considering are Greenville, SC, Nashville, TN, Raleigh, NC, Austin, TX, and San Antonio, TX. I need the inside scoop on what would make Mooresville a great choice.

Given the lack of any details on the business rationale for moving, I can't think of any reasons that you might want to move. I say stay in Dallas. If you have some specific business criteria that you are looking to solve, that isn't being meet in Tx, then I will be glad to give you my opinion.

The demographics for my target consumers of my services work better in the eastern part of the U.S. and the access to European and international markets works better from that part of the country. Furthermore, it is a quality of life issue as well, as I want to be near the mountains to go hiking and other outdoor recreational activities.

Without Cap & trade passing I'm not seeing how your businesses are going to take off no matter where you base them.

How big is your business? Why Mooresville? As I'm sure you know it's a suburb of Charlotte so why there instead of right in Charlotte or another suburb?

If it were me, the fact that Lowe's is there is one good reason. Plus, Mooresville is a very up-and-coming area. I think it is the "next big thing" in this region.

It's the emerging Energy hub in the US. It's a no-brainer for your work.

Depressed RE market means great lease/purchase terms residential & business.

I was told at an interview a few weeks ago that once the Lowe's Corporate complex is completed, they will have aprox 10, 000 employees. They have aprox 3400 now.
