Periodontics Dentist in S. Charlotte area (insurance, cost, office)

Does anyone have recommendations for a good periodontics dentist? I am needing to have some soft tissue replacement done in the not so distant future , and I'd like to actually plan out this surgery.

My insurance has exactly one person listed, whose info does not match anything I found online. I am pretty sure I can go out of network at some cost (I'll investigate whether or not this is worthwhile tomorrow), but I'd love some real life experiences if anyone has any.

Dr. Offut (sp?) is really great. I had a crown lengthening procedure in his office. I felt very comfortable with him and with his staff.

I ditto that. Dr Richard Offutt . I have been with him for the past 4 years . He and his staff are very nice.
