It seems a little chilly to me for ice cream! Then again, I could use me some Americone Dream.

Free cone day is fun, but be prepared to wait in line about 30 minutes. Bring a friend or a book!

I don't think it is worth to wait 30 minutes for a $2 scoop of ice cream. Last week Jimmy John's had $1 sandwich appreciation day, but the line was at least a block long. Not worth my time. Thanks but no thanks.

I think for most people it is more of a social thing versus just getting a free ice cream cone, sandwich or whatever.

^ that's exactly what I was going to say! In college, my friends and I went to Free Cone Day every year, and it was just a social thing.

So when Bojangles had a line out into the road at their drive though for the free Boberry when it snowed is a social thing? People will do dumb things for anything free - look at the recent Denny's breakfast giveaway after the Super Bowl.

I got my free cone at lunch time (I'm in Memphis now). No wait. It was 68 and sunny out as I soaked in the sun. I arrived back to work 15 minutes late...My boss could care less if I'm 15 minutes late, but wasn't too happy about not getting invited...

In my mind that translates to the ideal lunch.

I had the Maple Blondie which met my expectations and made me crave those maple hard candies...mmm...
