As a neutral, Mexico v Iceland has zero appeal for me. But I hope they get a great crowd and with it being the only game that Mexico has scheduled in the Southeast, it has potential (however being midweek will really hurt).
I know there will be at least two people there as I have convinced my wife to go with me. The only problem with this game is that it wont be the full World Cup team. They are still trying out people for the team. It should still be a fun game.
Does anyone know the promotional password/passcode for this game in Charlotte? I've tried several that others have given me, but none have worked. I believe you get a $5 discount. Please post if you know it. Thanks.
Won't be the best team that Mexico can put up (it's not a FIFA date which means that players playing in Europe won't be coming), but it will be interesting to see how the league players work their butts to convince the coach to take them to South Africa.
The best seats were already taken, btw, so I'm guessing the attendance will be decent. Not spectacular, of course, it's soccer after all, and a random match for the casual fan.
Looks like a pretty good turnout expected. About 55,000 tickets sold so far.
