I highly doubt CMPD is going to give you a 20% raise after your first year. That would be great, but unlikely.
Well my wife is a stay at home, and my children are infants. So ANY day will be good enough for me. And plus the first year is most likely gonna be the 3rd shift which I am used to working.
And for $40k a year to Protect and Serve, for my county and do something I love I think is a start. What do you expect to get paid for a rookie? $100k to start. I don't think so. I see that someone really has a negative outlook on things here. Sorry if you don't see the positive side or overall a positive outlook overall.

Right now I am making about $40k and making ends meet on a 280K mortgage. Yea lil rough but getting by...Now going down there and on half the house mortgage and few dollars less, but overall cost of living is better. I think it will be a good transition and a good possibilty to make it.
