Very often I receive proposals from real estate agents that are interested in selling properties that I own In Charlotte.I received a very elaborate one yesterday that came by Federal Express.

Sender claims the following:Out of state buyers moving to Charlotte:
Electrolux moving and creating 738 new jobs.
Premier, Inc " " " 450 " " .
Fifth Third Bank " " 600 " "
Siemens " " 800 " "

Anyone know if this is factual and UP TO DATE information??

Both Fifth Third and Electrolux are moving their headquarters here

And Siemens is in fact adding 825 jobs here!

Keep in mind that all of these numbers are proposals and not promises they will happen, and they are spread over several years.

This kind of freaked me out - Fifth Third leaving Cincinnati? :-) No way. Then I saw they were moving from University area. Whew! Cincy would have a gigantic gaping hole if 5/3 departed. They used to be my bank - had my first ever mortgage with them. Good old days .....

That's true, but they ARE planning on adding 200+ jobs statewide over the next 2 years as they begin expanding in the market (DW works there). It's funny to me how the Electrolux/Husqvarna/Fifth Third deals are all interconnected.

There's NO way they're leaving Cincy. They are going to be using Charlotte as a secondary home base though. Operations from other areas are being consolidated here with the move uptown.

I can speak to the Premier Inc. number, and it is accurate. They are consolidating offices and making Charlotte their headquarters. The jobs won't come all at once, but probably within next few years.

Unfortunately there might be one gigantic one leaving for San Bernardino, CA that would offset at least half of those gains.
