Jewelry Appraisers? (Charlotte, Matthews: flat fee, area, pay)

The mother of a friend of mine needs to get some jewelry appraised. She doesn't want to sell it right now, just wants to get an honest appraisal.

Does anyone have a suggestion about somewhere? Preferably in the South Charlotte to Matthews area or even down into Fort Mill. She realizes she will have to pay a fee. I told her that someone who charges a flat fee would be the most honest, IMHO. I'm just not familiar enough with the area and she doesn't want to drive in town or further north.

Do a search for Matthews Town Jewelers...there is a really nice and honest guy Jeff who owns it. I totally trust him.

Skatell's has done appraisals for me, the owner is great! Althought I bought my stuff there so you may have to call and check.
