Why do people who ride the bus insist on crossing in front of the bus? Are you trying to get hit? Do you not realize that people are probably going to pass the bus and can't see you when you step out in front of it? Mabye I am missing something here.

Perhaps the habit comes from years of riding the schoolbus, where the bus driver waits with the red lights flashing, for the kids to cross the street.
