Charlotte-based Bank of America will open a 32-story tower in its hometown today that features conference rooms with living trees,
floor-to-ceiling windows and cubicles with personal cooling and heating units. It is the bank's first office tower
in the Queen City since the 46-story Hearst Tower opened eight years ago.

I like the idea of cubicles with individual heating/cooling units. (since I am ALWAYS freezing at work).

Congrats to BOA. (and to the employees)

I guess that pretty much dashes my hopes of a location opening in Ballantyne so I would have an easier commute. I wonder if they will move people from Gateway up there?

BS - BoA has tons of office space in Ballantyne. At least three large (six story) buildings. You should speak to your manager about getting moved into one of them.

I was going to say the same thing! I know a ton of people who work for BofA at Ballantyne offices. Bs, I hope you can get transferred. It is always nice to work close to home!

I'm not actually part of BOA, but our company has space in Gateway since we have such a large project with them. Most of our people work downtown so that is where we are located as well.

Didn't know they had stuff in Ballantyne, though. Thanks for the info.

Sometimes, the issue is getting transferred into the department that is HQ in a location that you prefer....

most times, that is not as easy as it sounds...

Are you eligible for the My Work Program? There's a My Work facility in Ballantyne. Even some contractors are eligible.

I'm not even a contractor for BOA. I do tech support for a consulting company that has a large project with BOA. My only assocation with BOA is that I work in Gateway Village, I never see the client.
