Hello everyone,

This is my first post and Thanks in advance for your responses. I have finally convinced my wife that Northeastern PA is not right for us. One of the areas we are contemplating to move is Charlottesville. We visited a buddy of mine here and really liked the area. When we got home we realized we were comparing every place that was on our list to C-Ville. Honestly, the only thing that is a concern is that there may be a lack of quality seafood restaurants, I know this sounds trivial but really love food and I only want to make a major move once lol. Can anyone suggest what restaurants/markets are the best and why?

There are two local freebie weekly publications that have restaurant review - C-Ville:
C-Ville: Dining

and The Hook:
Food | The Hook - Charlottesville's weekly newspaper, news magazine

You may want to check out reviews on both websites. There is always urbanspoon.com, tripadvisor.com and yelp.com for more reviews.

I am not an expert on restaurants anywhere. Likely there are gems in the C-ville area. But I have never thought of C-ville as a haven for superb seafood restaurants. I think you need to be much closer to the shore for that. Maybe you should consider Virginia Beach????

Thanks! I don't need seafood 24/7. I was just wondering of there was a good place to satiate my fix every once and awhile.

There's a Red Lobster and a Bonefish Grill here. As chains, I suspect that some folks might not find them satisfactory.
