Whats in Palmyra? Is there enough there that you won't constantly be driving to Charlottesville for all your needs? Also, how far is it to Charlottesville? Is Palmyra very boring? Thanks!

Palmyra is more of an area than a town. There is basically nothing out there except woods, houses, and a few scattered strip malls. Peaceful, but nothing going on at all.

Not much goes on in Palmyra. There is a Food Lion (at Lake Monticello), and not too far is a Wal*Mart and Lowe's (Zion X Roads). Plenty of places to eat in the Lake Monticello area. Other than that, there's not much to do. From Palmyra, it's anywhere from 20-30 minutes to Charlottesville.

You will always be driving to Charlottesville for anything more than a grocery store.
