My girlfriend and I are moving up to the Culpeper/Charlottesville area this summer and Im wondering where the best town to find a decent and modestly priced apartment is and somewhere there are also job oppurtunities. I'm aware most people would reccomend Charlottesville itself because its a bigger city, but I'm looking for something a bit farther north.

You may want to also post this on the general Virginia forum. Charlottesville is not considered part of Northern Virginia by locals. Even Culpeper is pushing it as it's a far exurb.
