Hello! Considering a move to Charlottesville from Charlotte NC. Have only visted a couple times so im looking for a local's perspective on life in Charlottesville. Im a 35 yr old single gay guy and am wondering if there are many other 30/40 somethings whom live there. im afraid the town is dominated by 20 somthings who attend school, and 50 + who have moved for retirement. Thoughts on other pros and cons of life in Charlottesville for a newbie are appreciated.

There are pros and cons to Charlottesville, of course. I'm in my early 40s and am bored to death. My advice would be to not move here, or anywhere else for that matter these days, until you have a job nailed down.
