Greetings! Small family of three inclusive of baby is considering relocating from NY to Charlottesville VA. I was there a while back and truly liked the feel of the city. Can anyone please share some info on its overall politics, its recent economic situation (i.e., job market), the schools etc., and your own views. Thanks! (If you want any info on NYC please don't hesitate.)

When I first read Queensland, I thought you were from Australia.
I see now that you're actually in New York State.
Nonetheless, it's true that while Charlottesville may be in the northern part of the state geographically, Northern Virginia basically refers to the small cities and suburbs outside DC. Charlottesville would be around 2 hours from DC.
