Looking for comments on safety from college students and owners in these areas. College student is considering house rental for 5 near Wayside Chicken. Have looked at Crime stats and Sexual Offenders list. Anything one can add is appreciated. Thanks.

That's always been a fairly safe neighborhood for as long as I can remember. Lots of students and rentals in that area. You might want to stick more to Fry's Springs as there are more single family homes being used as such instead of multi-person rentals.

BTW...Wayside has excellent fried chicken and Anna's is my favorite pizza place. I miss it.

Default C'[Ville Frys Springsl

Thanks. Good to know and confirm what I have read.

Its hard to judge areas by stats alone. There are far worse areas in C Ville from a safety perspective that are not near campus. I grew up in a big city and attended a college in a large city. C'ville, is comparitivly mild.

Most of the crime in this area is larceny and likely petty but. the frequency appears, without further inpsection, high.... Ill take a look at other areas with student housing and and see.

I agree the Wayside is excellent. Eat there as often as I'm in town. In fact brought 20 of my friends from NOVA on bikes just to have lunch last summer. Many have returned on their own.

Cheers
