Just moved to the Chattanooga area a few weeks ago. Can anyone tell us what flea markets are around? Thanks so much!

There is one in East Ridge. But, if you really want to go to a fantastic flea market, you go to the one in Nashville, at the fair grounds. I LOVE THAT PLACE. You can find the traditional "socks" to the most crafty items and antiques galore!!!

I think they are open every 4th weekend. Trust me, if you enjoy flea markets, this is the only deal. Nashville Expo Center - Flea Market

There is also one in Sweetwater, right down the road. I haven't been to that one in years, so not too sure about it. I use to go to one in Alabama long ago, and it was pretty cool, but don't know about it now.

North of Chattanooga, Soddy-Daisy/Bakewell outdoor flea market. Take Hwy #27 north cann't miss it, once you cross the lake it's on the left about a mile in the middle of nowhere. Saturday and Sunday early, I've seen it almost empty by 11:00 a.m..

I thought I responded to this ages ago, but apparently I didn't.

Are you looking for the type of flea market where people rent booths on a temporary (daily?) basis, like an off-property garage sale, or a more permanent setup where people rent booths long-term? East ridge has both.

Take the #1 exit off I-75. Head east for a few hundred feet and a once-per-week flea market will be to your north behind the Wendy's. Head west for a few hundred feet and a more permanent "antique mall" setup will be to your north behind the Shoney's. There are lots more of both around, but those are the easiest to describe.

Thank you both! Yes, we are looking more so for outside flea markets. Smaller, community markets, instead of the big ones in buildings.
