Our family is relocating to Chattanooga in the spring for a job my husband is taking in Soddy-Daisy. We have a 12 year old and are looking to rent possibly a private home or town home. We don't need to live right in Soddy-Daisy, and would like to be close to amenities. We are looking for detailed suggestions on what locations are best to live and also have decent schools especially High Schools. I am not finding many sites that have rentals for professional families. With the real estate market we prefer to find a long term rental until we are sure that Chattanooga is going to become our permanent home. We won't be able to visit until February to look at the different areas, so I would like to do my research before I arrive. Any advice or assistance would be appreciated.

Finding "Executive" or "Professional" rentals in Chattanooga isn't very easy right now. Since VW, Wacker and Aerisyn opened up facilities here. Your best bets are Craigs List, Moderator cut: see comment If you can't find anything there you might start calling the listing agents of homes on the MLS that are have been on the market for long long time. The owners may be interested in leasing. Also, don't be surprised at the relatively high cost of the lease. It's simply supply and demand. VW completely transformed our market. Good luck!
