I consider myself a conservative-leaning moderate, and I like to listen to talk radio. As such, I used to switch between NPR (88.1) and Fox (used to be 95.3). If Fox got too conservative, I switched to NPR. If NPR got too liberal, I switched to Fox.

Unfortunately, it appears that 95.3 has switched to pure country (Cat Country WPLZ). While I do occasionally listen to country music, it's not my preferred medium while driving. So now, other than the occasional search through the airwaves using the "Scan" button, or taking the plunge and signing a $10/month (plus fees and taxes) contract with XM, I'm stuck with NPR.

Does anyone out there know of a decent conservative talk radio station in the Chattanooga area? AM or FM. Please hurry, I'm beginning to think that the gub'ment knows best and will protect us from ourselves and that the tidal waves caused by polar bears jumping off of melting ice bergs are going to flood the entire US coast any minute!

If you don't like 102.3 FM or 1150 AM you are pretty much screwed. I really like Styles. Haven't listened to Limbaugh in years. Once he went 100% RNC he just wasn't funny anymore and he became predictable. I missed the article on why PLZ went country but I'm sure it came to money or the lack there of.

I listened to 102.3 yesterday on the way home and it was all sports. I'm just not a sports-talk type of guy. But I'll give it a few more tries, and also 1150AM. Thanks for the suggestions!

I'm not sports talk radio guy either but Sport Talk on 102.3 is entertaining.
