Hello!

I am looking for advice on where to live in Chattanooga. I have 3 kids so schools are very important. Also, I want to live near things as well. Not driving 30 minutes to get to Target etc. My husband will be working near downtown so not a long commute either (20min or so is fine). We are going to have to rent a house so any suggestions on an agent or property management company that we can call to help get us started looking for a house? We will probably be moving in June/July.

Thank you!!

Hi, I was wondering if you have had any luck with research. We are also relocating to TN in June. We are currently in Hilliard, OH which is a suburb of Columbus. We have two boys, one will be in 8th grade and my youngest will be in 5th grade next year. My husband is working right outside of downtown, but travels mostly. I am hoping for a nice neighborhood w/ welcoming schools. I have not had a chance to visit myself to check out the neighborhoods and see where we want to be. We are hoping to rent a 3 or 4 bedroom house until we get settled and purchase a home in a couple of years.

I've heard Soddy Daisy has good schools, and Signal Mountain... but they are both further out from downtown than you may want to be. I think somebody said Ooltewah had good schools too but I can't remember...

I think somebody mentioned River City Property Management in another thread.

We haven't moved to TN yet but probably moving in June or July too We are looking at Harrison (but we aren't worried about schools since we only have a 2 year old, and we will homeschool her when the time comes, so I haven't paid as much attention to the school recommendations)

I keep looking online and seem to keep finding Soddy Daisy, Signal Mountain, Ootelwah, and East Brainerd are good areas. We only came down once for a quick tour so we didn't really see much. We did drive up Signal Mountain and not sure I want to drive that daily. It seems that finding a rental is hard and expensive. The price jumps a lot once you want a 4bdrm. Anyway, I guess we will keep checking and drive down soon!

Let me know if you find out anything great and I will do the same!
