What are the best providers as far service coverage goes. Looking to relocate in the next few months. Contemplating switching from AT&T to C-Spire due to their unlimited data packages. Thoughts?

I didn't know C-Spire (formerly Cellular South) was in the Chattanooga area... I thought they were only in Mississippi, Mobile, and Memphis. That said, I know they use the same technology as Verizon and share towers, so maybe you can get it here.

T-Mobile has the cheapest rates ($80/mo for unlimited everything), but very very limited coverage once you get away from the larger cities and major highways. City-dwellers love it, country folk (or city-folk who travel in the country) should stay away.

In general, Verizon has the best coverage in rural areas, but you pay for it on your bill. That's why I use them; they are the ones with coverage in rural areas where my job sites are located and where I go hiking.

If you can get C-Spire here, please let me know. Their $100/mo ($150/mo for 2 phones) unlimited everything plan looks very appealing. It's about the same as what I'm paying Verizon, but we only have 4GB of shared data.

Cell service always comes down to, what can you afford?

AT&T has good service through Chattanooga, so does Verizon. T-Mobile is lacking, especially in rural areas and other regions of the state and country. C-Spire roams on other carriers many times, so you're really just paying for a middle man.

Cricket has a good price, 5 lines with unlimited talk, text, and data for 100 a month, and they use the AT&T network.
