Chattanoogans,

Please vote at the primary on Feb 5th. Whoever you vote for. Voter registration is due on Monday Jan 6th.

Keep in mind that we are Americans, but we're still southerners, Tennesseans, and Chattanoogans! Let's strengthen our nation while keeping our local sovereignty (that means let WE THE PEOPLE decide what is best for the people at the local level). Californians have different issues compared to us East Tennesseans and vice versa. First, uphold the constitution, then decide on issues important to the people. Liberty!

Default questions

Since you brought it up and probably know, what requirements are there for voting in the primary (besides being a registered voter)? If there's a site that you know of with the info up that would be terrific. Thanks for your help!

Voter Registration - Hamilton County, TN Election Commission

I should have included this link. My bad.

Tennessee has open primaries, which means you don't have to be a registered party member to vote. For example, I'm voting for Ron Paul who is trying to win the Republican nomination. In some states, you have to be a member of the Republican party in order to vote in their primary. However, TN holds open primaries, which means I don't have to be registered as Republican to vote in their primaries for TN. Alabama is the same way.

So since I'm voting for Ron Paul, I would go to the designated location:
Polling Locations - Hamilton County, TN Election Commission

I'm in East Brainerd area (Belleau Woods sub), I'll be voting at Covenant Baptist.

Then I would ask for the Republican ballot, which has Ron Paul on there.
