Hi all, I'm a newbie here, does anyone here know how the Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburg went last weekend? How I wish I could have gone! Watched (from Florida) all the fun on the South Pittsburg webcam.

Thanks for the link and congrats to "them that won it"! I actually passed through S. Pittsburg the Sunday of the festival. It was getting later in the day and it was raining so we did not stop! We were in Chattanooga looking around before heading over into Alabama.

And just WHAT were you doing, missy???????

I just love that area from Wildwood Ga up across NickaJack and through S. Pittsburgh. It is simply beautiful!!!!!! We ate at a little truck stop at monteagle on 24 and it was some fine home cooking!! (You and I seem to get on the subject of food, don't we???)

HAHA Sounded good didn't it? Actually me and the little man headed south of Birmingham for a rock crawling competition. It was a blast!

You guys took a great trip then! I too love that area. The air seems just a bit cooler and cleaner over that way. There's a cool way to get from Nickajack to Chattanooga - ending at Signal Mtn/Suck Creek along the river. I'll have to do some mapquesting and next time you all can take the "river ride".

Speaking of food AGAIN lol I think I know where you all ate and it IS good!
