Hubby will be scheduled to take the chattanoogas written test for the police dept on Nov 7th and we are going to need to stay in an extremly cheap hotel (2 kids bdays and xmas is going to limit our budget) for 1 night. We will be driving up there on a thurday over night and staying there that friday night.Or possibly my husband will make the trip by himself and me and the kids will stay home here. Either way the cheapest, safe hotel advice please. Thank you

We stayed at the Choo Choo hotel by doing Priceline. It was almost half price. I'm sure other searches allow you to name your price as well. You may want to give it whirl. I am also in the law Enforcement field. I was tempted to apply to the same dept, but I have too many years working day shift and having holidays off. I am hoping to make the jump there next Spring combining the pension and some other "dream job" to make it all work out.
Good luck!

Thanks Griz,
I'm kinda like the person who calls into a talk show, "long time listener, first time caller." I've been following most of the threads, just haven't had much to say. We are going to put our house on the market this spring. It will all hinge on it's sale. You know how uncertain that is in these turbulent times. But we have a nice place on the end of a cul da sac on three wooded acres...so we will see. I'll keep you informed. We'll see if your still talking to me after Nov 16th when the Pack spanks the Bears!
