I al living in the seattle area now and are thinking about moving to Chattanooga area. I am in a interracial marriage and have 3 children that are mixed with african american. What I want to know is how we will be treated and how hard will it be for my children?

I don't have kids and since I moved here to Marry then being divorced well...for sure, women with children and/or husbands are hugely accepted over women without that may be true of everyplace.
There is the university and lots of family stuff going onfor the kids, nothing for a divorced womanmy age and I have moved a few times so I know it is hard moving to a new area think the newspaper will help? Including a glimpse of weather

I see Interracial couples all over the city, both downtown and the suburbs, and it appears to me that nobody gives it a second look. Chattanoogans have a "live and let live" attitude and are more friendly than words can explain. I'd personally welcome you here.

Thumbs up Thank you!

Thank you for responding to my thread. I have always lived in the Seattle area and around here it is normal persay for interracial couples so moving to where I am unfamiliar is very scary for me. I can deal with it but I do not want to put my kids thru it so again thanks for making me feel welcome!

one thing you must know in advance since there are quite a number of local independent coffee houses--- many of us are not partial to Starbucks

We have both here, but the "local" ones are better.
