With the economy the way it is and people just migrating in general I was wondering where people are coming from and going to. Maybe just put where you are coming from TO Chattanooga or where you going to FROM Chattanooga and why (job transfer, family, economy, etc)?

Came a year ago from Indianapolis to take a job in Dalton. Glad we took the risk, it has worked out really well.

Most recently I came from Hixson (which I found out was actually Chattanooga) and moved elsewhere in Hixson but am still paying City of Chattanooga taxes. So the question is - why don't they just call it Chattanooga?

I moved here from St. Pete, FL. I was working for Countrywide Home Loans when they started to go bad and got back into the insurance business. I ended up here on a whim, took the first offer I had and so far so good..although I'm trying to locate the social scene for 50 year olds.

Moved from asheville NC to Chattanooga in late October 08. Bigger nicer houses for the money & better choices of houses to buy was one of the main reasons for the move. Sold a teeeeny fixer upper bungalow in asheville & just bought an Amazing restored 1930s house in Chatt. Couldn't ask for anything more! My significant other did transfer his job to here. My business is on the internet but I might open a physical shop here in noog(just waiting to see how the economy woes go before I take the plunge)

Moved from DFW area in TX almost 2 months ago to Chattanooga, TN. I'm from MI and hated the cold, ended up in TX and hated the heat....glad to be back to four seasons in TN with more moderate temps in summer and winter. Got here just in time to see the trees change....beautiful!
